Steve S. Meyer Photography

Framed and Matted Photographic Prints of Nature

Steve S. Meyer has been photographing the natural world for over 30 years. His main focus has been the Baraboo Hills, Wisconsin River Valley region in south central Wisconsin. Through a continual learning process he attempts to capture the nuances and subtle changes of light and landscape, changes created in a moment by a cloud passing the sun, overnight by the freezing of a lake surface, or eons in the creation of a quartzite rock formations. Returning to a favorite place always presents a new vision to contemplate.

Steve's travels have taken him to western U.S, western Canada, Ireland and New Zealand, where he has enjoyed capturing moments in the landscapes of those regions.

Steve's images have appeared in th Wisconsin Trails magazine. He donates use of his images to the state and international chapters of The Nature Conservancy, where they have appeared in many of their publications. Steve was a finalist in the 2006, 2007 and 2009 international Nature Conservancy photo contests and received second place recognition in the 2008 Wisconsin Trails photo contest. Steve's work has been the subject of a recent profile on the Nature Conservancy's web site. He has also been selected for a solo exhibit at the U.W Madison Arboretum visitor center in May and June of 2011.
