The Midwest Salsa Company is a small family company in Wisconsin run by Brooks and Christine Vrooman. One year our small garden got a little out of hand and we decided to make a bunch of salsa. Brooks has always been good at coming up with new flavorful foods and salsa was no exception. With the canning process we were able to preserve the bounty and ended up with a lot of product. We shared the salsa with our friends and family and the response was overwhelming. Many responded with “You should sell this in stores!”. It was Very humbling and rewarding to hear these comments. No one could stop eating it, least of all us. From there we grew and grew trying to keep everyone from running out.
We believe our great flavor comes from fresh, delicious local products and, unlike the large salsa companies, the ingredients we choose not to leave out. We quickly grew beyond our capabilities to produce all the vegetables from our own garden. So, now we turn to our local farms for support.
