| Antonía Pendants Rolliana Scheckler, owner and artist started offering Antonía Pendants about two years ago on-line. Her pieces were available at art shows, church bazaars, and Charlene's Gallery Ten in Gills Rock, Wisconsin, for the 2007 tourist season. Rolliana has taken several courses of “wire sculpting” from a master to develop her skill. She purchases her cabochons from some Wisconsin glass artists, and several come from various states. She occasionally uses gemstones. However, these works of art are not pendants until she has wire sculpted them. Each uses about 5 to 6 feet of 14 Karat rolled yellow or white gold. She is occasionally using non-tarnishing .925 sterling silver for wire-sculpting in addition to the gold-filled wire. The wire sculpting makes a harness that holds the cabochon securely, forms a bail that can slide over most necklaces and creates beautiful, decorative swirls that cannot be duplicated. Each piece is a one of a kind creation. | |||||||||||||||||
