| C G Candles
C*G Candles began as a hobby in my Cleveland, Wisconsin kitchen after I received a soy candle making kit from my Mom for Christmas. I love candles, and after doing some research on the benefits of Soy wax, I decided to make my own. It sounded simple enough. How wrong I was! After countless disasters and wax all over my kitchen, I finally was able to produce a candle that passed for acceptable. I kept at it and was able to give some as gifts to family and friends, as well as donations for several charity events. I began to love making them so much that my husband and son thought it was becoming an obsession! After people began asking how much I sold them for, I realized I might be on to something. My husband set me up with a workshop in the basement, I sold my first dozen votives, began selling at markets and shows, and the rest, as they say “is history”. I am married to David, and have a 9 year old son named Michael. When I am not making candles or thinking of new ideas for them, I love hiking with our dogs, gardening, and cheering my son on at his sporting events. I really enjoy the peace and quiet of living in our rural area of Wisconsin. I get inspiration for new candles from the beauty and scents all around me.....Carrie Govek, Owner | |||||||||||||||||
