My oldest son was my inspiration for my first book. After walking into his room one morning I found him sleeping at the foot of his bed. He looked up at me with a smile and I asked him - What do you do in the middle of the night?
At the time both my boys were reading books on jungles and the rain forest so the thought occurred to me to write a dream adventure book about a little boy who travels into the jungle and encounters the imaginary creature, the Callabee. After taking a first prize photo of this exotic animal he is found the next morning by his mother, still in his bed but his covers are on the floor.
In each book a part of the childs dream comes back with them in the morning as a reminder that we all need to hold onto our dreams and never let go.
I wrote all my books in a rhyming format making them easier for a young reader to memorize and read along.
This soft cover book with beautiful illustrations make this story a sweet and gentle read.
