A native Wisconsinite currently living in Sun Prairie, Stephanie Funck creates unique pocket journals from notebooks and maps. She has always been interested in maps and enjoys working with them in unusual and artistic ways. As an avid basketmaker, Stephanie began weaving baskets from watercolor paper and maps in 2003. Her entry in the 2006 CowParade (Cowtography) featured a life-size fiberglass cow covered in hand-tinted maps. In July of 2006 she appeared on HGTV’s “That’s Clever” demonstrating a basket made from a Wisconsin map. | |||||||||||||||||
