Having made hams and bacon in the '60's before curing compounds like Neverfail were banned, I search for that taste again.I thought your's was heavy on smoke and light on salt.

I purchased this sampler partially as a gift for a friend so I've only tried the thin-sliced bacon myself. The flavor was very nice with a heavy wood-smoke smell while cooking. There was also a nice sweetness to the bacon itself. Very good!
