Be ready for Spring or any time of the year with this finely crafted Trumpet Vase made of Wisconsin native Box Elder. Ken Grunke, Wisconsin Woodturner has created this distinctive vase, a perfect gift for Mother's Day, a birthday or anniversary. The wood in this piece is mostly colorless, except for a bit of mineral stain at the rim. This vase could be decorated by a rosemaling or other brush artist, skilled woodburner, kolroser, or just left as is to let the shape speak for itself.
Because each vase is made to order, no two are alike - there may be variations from the image shown. Included with the vase are two 16mm (5/8 inch) glass tube inserts, 4 inches long, to fit in it's center hole and hold flowers. The vase stands 8 inches high and is 5 1/2 inches across the top at the widest point. It is finished with three coats of wipe-on polyurethane, hand-rubbed and polished to a satin gloss. The Trumpet Vase is signed and dated by the artist.
