Jerry Minnich, born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, is one of wisconsin's best-known and best-loved writers. He is the author of best-selling books on gardening, cooking, travel, and living the good life in the Badger State. A former Rodale Press editor, he has written five books andnumerous articles about Wisconsin horticulture. Minnich was the founder and president of Prairie Oak Press. He has been a Madison restaurant columnist and food critic since 1985. His hobbies include gardening, cooking, travel, architecture, and music.
