The Fire Within - Book

The Fire Within is the first autobiography of Jim Taylor, and is a book for all fans of Jim Taylor and the magical Packers dynasty of the 1960s. In The Fire Within, Jim Taylor recounts many adventures with his Packers teammates, including Bart Starr and Paul Hornung, who remember him as an extremely kind and generous man, blessed with unequaled skill yet untouched by ego. Taylor spans his whole career, from his time as an All-American at LSU, his success as a Packer from 1958 through 1966, and the then newly formed New Orleans Saints in 1967, to his 1976 induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He also speaks candidly about his post-playing career passion and desire for charitable work, and the new wife who changed his life in so many ways. Written with NFL sportswriter Dr. Kristine Setting Clark, and packed with stories, statistics and never before seen photos, The Fire Within reveals a man and a team that captured the imagination of gridiron fans of the 1960s and continue to be celebrated today. Published by Triumph Books. Written by Jim Taylor with Kristine Setting Clark, 224 pages, 6 x 9 in., Hardbound.
