Bob Rashid is a photographer and writer whose work has appeared in Time, Newsweek, The New York Times, and other national and international publications. His photographs illustrate the popular book Wisconsin's Rustic Roads and his work has been exhibited throughout the state. With camera in hand, Rashid spent nearly a year with dozens of anglers--men, women, and children. From spearing sturgeon through the ice on Lake Winnebago, to pursuing the wily muskellunge on a tranquil night in the north woods, Rashid captures on film the myriad incarnations of Midwestern fishing. The 87 full-color photographs lavishly evoke the traditions and culture of fishing in the Midwest, accompanied by Rashid's notes on his experience. In his book Gone Fishing, Bob Rashid tells us why there's more to fishing than catching fish.
