Anne M. Connor is a professional writer and rider with 33 years in the saddle. Since her years as a self-professed barn-rat in the 1960's, Connor has ridden Western pleasure and English pleasure, foxhunted, and shown successfully in hunt seat, eventing, and dressage. She finished fourth in the Region 2 training level dressage championships in Lexington, KY in 1997, seventh at first level in Chicago in 1998, and sold her horse shortly thereafter to stay home and raise her family. She writes for several publications, including the Chronicle of the Horse. These days, with three children under the age of eight, Connor rides mostly for pleasure.
