Colors may vary slightly from the picture. Intarsia is a style of decorative or pictorial inlay involving a mosaic of wood pieces onto a groundwork of solid wood. Next, precious hardwoods are cut into ¼ inch and ½ inch tiles. These mosaic tiles are fit and set one at a time in a bed of glue in the base. Finally, the inlaid surface is scraped, rubbed down, waxed, and burnished.
