My oldest son was my inspiration for my first book. After walking into his room one morning I found him sleeping at the foot of his bed. He looked up at me with a smile and I asked him “What do you do in the middle of the night?” A the time both my boys were reading books on jungles and the rain forest so the thought occurred to me to write a dream adventure book about a little boy who travels into the jungle and encounters the imaginary creature the “Callabee." After taking a first prize photo of this exotic animal he is found the next morning by his mother, still in his bed but his “covers are on the floor.” In each book a part of the childs dream comes back with them in the morning as a reminder that we all need to hold onto our dreams and never let go. I wrote all my books in a rhyming format making them easier for a young reader to memorize and read along.
