Ken and Barb Wardius entered the world and grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Their high school romance was destined to last, for they have been married for twenty-six years. When they married, Barb had just graduated from secretarial school and Ken was studying biology at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. They pursued their careers and several years later their daughter, Sarah, came along. Ken and Barb have traveled statewide and nationally, pursuing their hobbies of photography, reading, hiking, bird study, and in recent years, lighthouses, which first drew their interest in picturesque Door County. They began accumulating photos of lighthouses, then actively searching them out, climbing them and writing their stories, willingly assisted by the people they met along the way. Finally, they were encouraged by their friends to share it all in a book. Two years in the making, this collection of photos and facts attests to both their dedication and their photographic ability.
