No Time to Count, The Life of a Small Town Writer, is an autobiography by Wisconsin author John J. Mutter, Jr. This book recounts the author's life through his experiences in the Navy, as a merchant seaman, and in various diverse jobs including bartender, construction worker, gas station attendant, paper mill employee, power plant operator, security guard and more. His lifelong dream of becoming a writer came to fruition after attending a creative writing workshop in 1980. The award winning writer is also a storyteller, historian, outdoorsman, speaker and environmentalist.
