Unlike most of the commercial soaps available at stores, this soap is real soap. We make it by mixing lye and purified water with several oils, including olive, palm and coconut oils. When you mix lye with any kind of oil, a chemical change takes place resulting in soap, a process called saponification. In some of the soaps we add various herbs, flower petals and other natural ingredients. In most of our soaps we use plant oils and pure essential oils which are extracts from plants, flowers and trees. A few of our soaps are scented with fragrance oils. No artificial colors are used in any of our soaps, nor is lard or hydrogenated oil used.
