Who Pooped in the Northwoods? - Book

Who Pooped in the Northwoods? is a wonderful children's adventure by Gary D. Robson, with illustrations by Robert Rath. We invite you to come along with Michael, Emily, and their family as they find poop (scat) and footprints (tracks) and discover which animal made them! Watch where you step! Sometimes the animals in the Northwoods are hard to find, but you can almost always find their poop!

Who Pooped in the Northwoods? is an ideal tool for teaching young children about animal behavior, diet, and scat and tracks identification; the perfect companion for in the car or in the field on your next trip to the Northwoods.

Fun illustrations of the animals and their scat and tracks supplement the charming story, and a quick-reference chart at the back makes field identification a breeze! 48 pages. Softcover.

"Part of the Who Pooped in the Park? series ideal for young readers ages 5 to 8, Who Pooped in the Northwoods? Scat and Tracks for Kids is an educational picture-book following the adventures of two children, Michael and Emily, who learn how to read the evidence of wild creatures in the northwoods of Minnesota and Wisconsin. From telling the difference between bobcat tracks and wolf tracks, to recognizing owl pellets, to learning how to recognize what animal a given scat came from, Who Pooped in the Northwoods is as lively, forthright, and downright fascinating as the rest of the popular series. Especially recommended for young people about to go on a camping trip in the northwoods!" -Midwest Book Review, July 2008
