Honey Acres

Honey Acres began in 1852 when Christian Diehnelt came to Milwaukee from his native Germany with his beekeeping talents. For five generations, the Diehnelt family has grown their business honey acresto offer a variety of Kosher products including gourmet honeys, honey cremes, honey mustards, honey confections, and numerous gift packages. Today, Honey Acres is located on a 40 acre property in rural Ashippun, Wisconsin, midway between Milwaukee and Madison. Skilled beekeepers tend over 1800 hives of bees located on 38 farms within 40 miles of Honey Acres to gather the honey crop. Clover, basswood, buckwheat, orange blossom, cranberry, and wildflower are some of the unique flavors of honey that are produced.

One Honey Acres product, the Hi-Honey Natural Fruit Bar, was "discovered" at the Milwaukee Airport by a research dietician working with the 1989 Mt. Everest expedition. As a result of extensive pre-expedition testing, the Honey Apricot Bar became part of the food supply used by climbers. honey acresSeveral qualities make these bars ideal for endurance sports as well as everyday snacks. They are low in fat and high in carbohydrates; they have ready calories for energy, natural ingredients, and great taste; and they will not freeze or melt easily!

Walter Diehnelt, Master Beekeeper and President, cordially invites you to visit Wisconsin and tour their factory and nationally acclaimed "Honey of a Museum." People all over the world have enjoyed honey and honey gift packs from Honey Acres. Satisfaction is guaranteed today just as it was in 1852 by C. F. Diehnelt.
