Ken Wolfe of Howling Wolf Gourmet Foods, INC is a classically trained chef who has always had a passion for sauces, smoked foods, and BBQ. Ken started his career with a 3 1/2 year culinary apprenticeship in southern California, followed by 2 years of working as a chef in France. He spent most of his early career as a saucier, before moving up the ranks. Eventually, Ken opened his own restaurant, Cafe Wyoming, in Dubois, Wyoming just outside of Jackson Hole and Yellowstone. At the Cafe, he featured his BBQ sauces and perfected his style of barbecuing. After 6 successful years, Ken closed the Cafe to focus on his sauces full time. He is now located in Wisconsin working with some quality co-packers to help produce his line.
The all natural products by Howling Wolf Gourmet Foods are highly versatile, full of flavor, and of the best quality. No High Fructose Corn Syrup or MSG is ever used. Ken use 5-6 chilies in all of his products, blended for flavor, not just for heat. He finds his products are useful beyond just normal BBQing. He even uses the Cranberry Orange BBQ as a salad dressing. (you have to try it to believe it!) The Extra Spicy is great on omelets. The Seafood rub, developed to enhance the buttery flavors of fish, is amazing on a baked potato.
