Jeanine's Dream
Jeanine Semon is an artist in her "wise old woman" years, earning her BFA in mid-life from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. Art is, along with her family, the priority of her life. In recent years she has discovered the healing in her paintings and in her teaching, which students have found to be "truly empowering." She seeks images from the inner self both for herself and her classes. An Environment of Jeanine Semon's paintings brings both peace and inspiration. She believes that her art is sacred and represents her philosophy that "all things are linked together, an interconnected unit representing one soul." Ms. Semon has received a number of awards, highlighted by a Wisconsin Arts Board grant for her Rain Forest installation, Featured Artist for the Peoria, Illinois public television channel, "Journey", Park City Multi-image Silver award, created with Ralph Carlston and Jesse Semon, and Creation A Dawning, also with Jesse Semon. Her gifted teaching and lecturing has brought forth the creativity of art and decision making from her students. | |||||||||||||||||
