| Midwest Expressions MIDWEST EXPRESSIONS Tom Crozier of Midwest Expressions lives in Madison, Wisconsin. Originally from the East Coast, he moved to Wisconsin five years ago and fell in love with the landscape in and around Dane County, Wisconsin. "The Wisconsin countryside reminds me of New England with its family farms handed down from generations of European settlers. I am especially fond of the 'driftless' area just west of Madison because of its rolling hills and scenic beauty - an area that would have otherwise wound up considerably flatter if the glaciers had been given a chance." Tom Crozier attended the Rhode Island School of Design ( R.I.S.D.) and studies photography and painting. The advent of the personal computer made it possible for him to combine his two interests (photography and painting) to create impressionistic landscapes of the Wisconsin countryside that he likes to call photo-images. "For me, taking a picture is just the starting point. Even though a photograph itself can be pleasing to the eye, I still can't help but add something extra to it - to move it up to yet another level of complexity and color." All of Mr. Crozier's photo-images are created using a digital camera, a personal computer, and several software programs. Each print is made using only 100% cotton rage watercolor paper and Epson Ultra Chrome archival inks. They are signed, limited edition prints of no more than 295 for all available sizes. His artwork is currently in private collections throughout the world, including Japan, New Zealand, and Kazikistan as well as in Wisconsin, Illinois, New York and New Hampshire. | |||||||||||||||||
