Terry O'Neill began in photography approximately twenty-five years ago. His interest grew steadily as he was encouraged by those who saw his work, to share it with others. He enrolled in classes at Milwaukee Area Technical College, Milwaukee Center for Photography, and various fine art photography workshops, to enhance his photography skills.
It was at this time that Terry realized that true art comes from within your heart and is not necessarily learned. In photography this is especially true. One can have all the necessary technical skills to operate a camera but not have the "artistic" skills that are needed to create a fine art photograph.
Terry's "signature piece" is entitled Downtown Milwaukee Fog. This piece took first place in the International Library of Photography competition. It was also published in Shutterbug Magazine in July, 2002.
Terry's work has been sold and displayed in galleries, art shows, art expositions, business offices, and stores. His work has won a variety of awards in art shows and competitions. He has combined his love of the outdoors and photography into an extensive collection of photographs for all to enjoy.
