A tasty new way to combine the delicious flavor of pork with maple sweetness and mustard spice
1. Melt butter in small skillet over medium-low heat
2. Add onions and saute until translucent
3. Stir in 1/3 cup maple syrup, vinegar, 1 tablespoon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and liquid smoke, if using
4. Whisk until smooth
5. Simmer 6 to 8 minutes, stirring often
6. Keep warm
7. Meanwhile, line broiler pan with aluminum foil; heat broiler
8. Trim excess fat from pork chops
9. Combine remaining 2 tablespoons maple syrup and 1 tablespoon mustard; brush half the mixture on one side of chops
10. Broil meat, plain side down, 4 to 5 minutes
11. Turn chops, brush with remaining mixture, and broil until heated through, 4 to 5 minutes
12. Serve with the warm sauce
