Shipping

Q: What is Expedited Shipping?
A: It is the next step up in speed of delivery from Standard Shipping. Generally the delivery time for Expedited Shipping is 3 - 4 business days. A perishable product, depending on the day/date of the order, may not leave the Artisan immediately if there is a chance the shipment might be delayed in a warehouse over a weekend. So although the item is in transit very few days, the time from order to receipt may be longer than 4 days.

Q: Where can Wisconsinmade products ship?
A: Wisconsinmade.com currently ships products only to the United States. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii, add an additional 3 day for delivery. Not all products are available for shipping to Alaska and Hawaii and expedited shipping is not available. Many items, especially perishable products, may require additional shipping charges. Customer will be notified after order is placed if there is an additional ship cost. Orders to PO Boxes are not accepted.

Shipping to Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands may be available for selected items at an additional cost. Please contact Customer Service for assistance.

Wisconsinmade.com can also ship several different gift options to APO Address.  They can be viewed here.  If you wish to send a perishable product, please read the description to see if it is approved to be shipped to an APO address.  If you select a non-APO approved product and have it shipped to a 3rd party expediter,  our product guarantee is null and void.  Wisconsinmade.com does not guarantee products that are shipped to other countries via a 3rd party expediter.  Our products are packaged and shipped only for delivery in the US.

Q: How will my products be delivered?
A: Each supplier has different mode of shipping. The primary methods of shipping are with UPS, FedEx, and USPS.

Q: What is the cost to ship and how long will it take?
A: Shipping & handling charges are calculated based upon the weight of your product and the distance from the artisan to the destination. Occasionally a larger size or special handling may affect the shipping charge. Depending upon the circumstances we will ship packages via either FedEx, UPS, DHL or the U.S. Postal Service.We have set our rates to approximate the rates charged to us by our delivery service providers.

To view an estimate of your shipping cost, click select your shipping method (standard or expedited) and type in your zip code. Once completed, click submit and a shipping estimate will appear. 

Wisconsinmade.com orders are processed promptly and are shipped directly to you from our suppliers. We monitor all orders to ensure that they are shipped in a timely manner. Shipping time does not include Holidays, weekends or the day you place the order. Allow 2-3 days to process orders.

Wisconsinmade.com offers the following shipping options and delivery estimates for your order:

  • STANDARD - Delivery estimate is 5 to 10 business days.
     
  • EXPEDITED - Delivery estimate is 3 to 4 business days.
     
  • STANDARD ONLY - Alaska and Hawaii - No Expedited Orders.

Overnight Shipping (1 day in transit) is available only for a very limited range of products. You must call to request overnight shipping and authorize our office to charge your credit card the additional ovrtnight shipping charge. Overnight orders must be approved and placed before 10:00 AM CST to be able to be delivered the following day. If you have questions call, toll free at 877-947-6233 (M - F between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm Central time) for a customer service representative to help you.

Depending on the artisan and the shipping option requested, your order will be shipped by UPS, DHL, Federal Express, or United States Postal Service. Some artisans have restrictions on the days they ship or the lead time they need--these restrictions are posted on the product pages.

Q: Do you offer overnight delivery?
A: Overnight delivery is available for a very limited range of products. You must call to request overnight shipping and authorize our office to charge your credit card the additional overnight shipping charge. Overnight orders must be approved and placed before 10:00 AM CST to be able to be delivered the following day. Q: Why can I not choose standard shipping with some products?
A: Some of our products require expedited shipping. When you are checking out, it will not allow you to select standard shipping.

Q: Why do I have to pay expedited shipping for an order that is placed after Tuesday, but will not ship until the following Monday?
A: Some items require expedited shipping. This is to ensure that the product will get to you fresh and not sit in a warehouse over the weekend. When the product is shipped the following Monday, it will be shipped at a faster service than ground, so it is still shipped expedited.

Q: What information should be put in the special shipping instructions?
A: If you need the product delivered by a specific date, delivered a specific week, or if you would like to have the product shipment delayed, use the link "Schedule a Delivery Date" that is to the right of the Ship To Address information in your Check Out screen.

 

If you have other special requests, use the field entitlted "Special Shipping Instructions" located in Step 2 "Shipping" under shipping options.

Additionally you can always call us (1-877-947-6233 - M - F between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm Central time) or e-mail us ( orders@wisconsinmade.com ) immediately after your order. Please have your order# & date handy to give to us when you call or write.

Q: Can I request a specific day for arrival?
A: We are not able to guarantee delivery for a specific day. We will do our best to try and meet your expectations. However, you are able to specify, during the Check Out process, a requested delivery week.

Q: How do I know if my order shipped, and what is the tracking?
A: After your order is processed, and once shipped, we will automatically send you an email. This email, sent to the valid email address provided by you, will include the following information: order number, ship date, ship to, product ordered, how it was shipped (via UPS, FedEx, DHL), along with the tracking number (if available), and a link to check of the status of the package. All you have to do is click on the link, and you will check the status of your order. There is also a link in the upper right hand corner of our website entitled "Order Status" that you can check to determine the status of your order.

Q: Is the price included on the packing slip?
A: No, we do not include the price on the packing slip. We treat every order as if it is a gift, so the recipient will not know what you spent on the product and shipping.

Q: Do you ship to hospitals?
A: We strongly discourage shipping to hospitals. When the package arrrives at the hospital, it is dropped off at the loading dock. Next, it has to get sorted, and by the time it is received by the patient, the patient may have already been discharged or released. Instead, we suggest shipping the product to an alternate address or the patient's home. This will be just as pleasant a surprise for the patient.

Ordering

Q: What is the easiest way to place an order for more than 20 recipients?
A: First, create an Excel document with each recipients name, address, and phone number (if possible). Next, call one of our friendly customer service representative at 1-877-947-6233, M - F  8:30 AM to 4:30 PM to let them know what product you are interested in, the quantity, billing information, gift message (if any), and the credit card number. Then at that time you will be instructed to e-mail the document to customerservice@wisconsinmade.com. Finally, we will take care of placing the order for you. Once the order is placed you will receive a confirmation by e-mail.

Q: Will I be charged sales tax on my purchase?
A: Only orders shipped to Wisconsin address are subject to sales tax. On those orders sales tax is applied to all nonfood items and some food items are taxed based on Wisconsin State Tax Laws.

If sales tax is applicable then tax is applied to the shipping costs as well.

Q: Does Wisconsinmade.com accept personal checks?
A: If you would like to place an order with a personal check, please call 1-877-947-6233 (M - F between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm Central time) for assistance. A customer service representative will take your order, tell you the amount due, and the address to send the check. Please note, there will be a delay in processing your order, which may take up to one week after the check is received. As an alternative, you may send a money order or a certified check to speed up the processing time.

Q: How do I place an order online?
A: Once you determine what product you would like to order, click on either the product picture or the product name to get a more in depth description. If applicable, click on what option(s) you would like.

Step 1: Pick your product & Ship To recipient.

Step 2: Review your shopping basket & edit information before proceeding with check out.

Step 3: Enter your account username and password or choose "guest checkout." then continue.

Step 4: Fill out billing/shipping information; choose a shipping method.

Step 5: Confirm shipping and billing information; enter payment information.

Step 6: Place order and record your order #.

Q: How do I know if ordering online is secure?
A: Wisconsinmade is a secure site.

When you place orders, we use secure server software (SSL) to encrypt all information you input before it is sent to us. Furthermore, all of the customer data we collect is protected against unauthorized access.

To ensure the security of ordering online there are two different spots to verify the security of the website. In the web address if there is a “s” after the http:// and at the bottom of the screen you see a closed lock or an unbroken key (depending on the browser), then you know you are in a secure site.

Q: Can I include a gift message with my purchase?
A: Yes. During the checkout process on the Shipping Information page you will see a place where you may compose a Gift Message for each gift recipient in your order.

Q: Can I use 2 different promotion codes?
A: No. You can only use one gift certificate or one offer code. Both codes can not be used simultaneously.

Q: How do I redeem a promotion code?
A: In your Shopping Cart below your order information and the button labeled "Update Shopping Cart" you'll see an area entitled "PROMOTION CODE." Enter your code information there and then press the "Update Shopping Cart" button to recalculate your order total.

Q: How do I redeem my gift certificate?
A: You may redeem your gift certificate during checkout in the Payment Information Section, just above your credit card information. Enter your credit card information as per usual. The amount of your gift certificate will then be applied to your order and the amount due adjusted. If there is a balance due, it will be applied to your credit card. If the certificate covers the entire purchase cost, then no amount will be applied to your credit card. If the amount of the purchase is less than the amount on the gift certificate, the remainder will remain in the system for a subsequent purchase.

Q: Can I redeem multiple gift certificates on one order?
A: Yes.  You may redeem multiple gift certificates on one order.  During checkout in the Payment Information Section, just above your credit card information enter your gift certificate number. (Please submit the largest denomination first.)  Then click  "add gift certificate".  Then type in your next gift certificate number and click "add gift certificate" again.  Listed below it will show you the details (gift certificate number and balance) of each gift certificate.  If the certificates cover the entire purchase cost, then no amount will be applied to your credit card.  If there is a balance due, please type in your credit card information and click purchase.  At this time your transaction will be complete.

A: Orders are packaged in the best way possible to ensure quality, safety and to preserve freshness during shipping.This is to ensure your gift will arrive in the best quality. Included in the package is a promotional brochure from Wisconsinmade.com, a gift card that will include your optional gift message, and a packing slip. The packing slip only states who the recipient is and what product was ordered from them. NO PRICING is included!

Q: What is pasteurized process cheese?
A: Pasteurized process cheese food is a variation of process cheese that may have dry milk, whey solids, or anhydrous milkfat added, which reduces the amount of cheese in the finished product. It must contain at least 51% of the cheese ingredient by weight, have a moisture content less than 44%, and have at least 23% milkfat.

Q: Do you have a sizing chart for your apparel?
A: Wisconsinmade.com carries several different brands of apparel, and it is difficult to get sizing charts for each piece of clothing. Listed below is a generic size chart that may help you make your decision on what size to purchase. Remember, some brands may run smaller than the sizes listed below.

Q: Are all of your products made in Wisconsin?
A:

At Wisconsinmade.com, our goal is to provide the best of Wisconsin to the rest of the United States. Our products are made with pride and passion in Wisconsin by Wisconsin Artisans. Our definition of "made" depends on the type of item.

Food Items: We do permit the use of ingredients from outside of the state as long as the final product is created in Wisconsin.

Gift Baskets: We require that at least 80% of the components used to assemble a Wisconsinmade.com gift basket are made in Wisconsin. Usually the items in the gift baskets that aren't Wisconsin-made are crackers or the basket itself. We would never leave the cheese and sausage making to anyone else! 

Wisconsin Sports Merchandise and Apparel: Wisconsinmade.com started out with a focus on food and crafts but our customers insisted that it's just not Wisconsin without the Packers, Badgers and Brewers. We searched the state for sports merchandise made here, but couldn't find a local manufacturer of certain key items like t-shirts, caps and sports merchandise. We did however, find several wonderful small Wisconsin businesses to supply us with sports merchandise and apparel made in other locations, and businesses in other states that supply Wisconsin sports team items. Visit the Artisan section to learn more about the companies that supply our sports items. Even though the actual shirt, hat, or non-apparel item might be made elsewhere, licensing revenue from Wisconsin sports merchandise supports your favorite Wisconsin teams.
