Dawn Johnson, owner of Stained Glass Creations by Dawn, became involved with Stained Glass more than eleven years ago. It all started by taking one class and she instantly fell in love with this form of artistic expression. Dawn not only does the Tiffany technique in Stained Glass but also does Glass Mosaic Art, which includes garden items such as patio stones, flower pots and garden stakes. Her passion for glass led her to learn how to do fused glass in a kiln and doing open torch work and making handmade glass beads and flameworked glass art. Dawn has also begun to work with silver and other metals in creating jewelry.
She loves to incorporate these techniques together in her art glass creations, whether it is a window hanging or a lovely piece of jewelry.
Dawn’s business is a home studio and she does approximately 2 or 3 art shows each year. She has also been teaching at a local Stained Glass Studio in Madison for the past 9 years.
Dawn hopes that through her artwork she can “Color Your World With Glass.”
