Who would have thought that a man's hankering for hot & spicy food
would lead to a burgeoning international business called Stump's Hot Olives.
Jim & Roberta Haakinson are constantly amazed by the popularity of their
product, which was created out of Jim's often obsessive love of hot food.
Jim began selling his olives to co-workers and friends and the rest is history. Jim's nickname at work has always been "stump" so what better name for his hot treats. With the help of their two children and their spouses they have turned this into a wonderful family business. | |||||||||||||||||

Five
years ago the couple went to Belize where they discovered the Scotch Bonnet
pepper, a very hot habanero variety. When Jim returned, he began experimenting
with the peppers, finally settling on a concoction of habanero and serrano
peppers, garlic salt and lemon.
