| The Art of Photography--Impressionistic Photography
Photographer/Artist Deborah Proctor of The Art of Photography is an internationally known, award-winning photographer who specializes in Polaroid manipulations and other creative photographic techniques. Utilizing traditional photography and art techniques, along with a variety of tools and printing methods, Deborah's images transcend the ordinary to the extraordinary. The resulting artwork is an exquisite blend of photography and original art, unparalleled in any other medium. Deborah grew up outside of Madison, WI and loves to photograph the unique places around her hometown. From the State Capitol to the University of Wisconsin, the Dane County Farmer's Market, Olbrich Gardens, Monona Terrace and Madison's four lakes, she has a unique way of looking at her surroundings finding beauty in even the most mundane places. Gardens are one of her favorite subjects although subjects include barns and cows as well as street scenes from across the state and around the world. "It is my 'art's desire is to take people beyond the ordinary to discover the wonder of everyday places and things in a beautiful new way. Viewers often marvel at the painterly quality of my work, finding it difficult to believe these breathtaking, impressionistic fine art images are truly photographs; yet photographs they are! It is my hope that my images will cause the viewer to stop, if only for a moment, and contemplate the beauty of the world around us." | |||||||||||||||||
