Brian Wolf of Wolf's Vision Nature Photography, is from Kenosha, Wisconsin, enjoys being outdoors and has photographed nature for many years. His photography has taken him to parks, natural areas, wildlife refuges and many of our country’s National Parks. Wisconsin itself offers endless opportunities for excellent nature photography. You can photograph wonderful winter scenes, a variety of birds, landscapes, flowers blooming in the spring, wildlife and fall colors right here in our home state.
To accomplish the many aspects of nature photography Brian regularly uses wide angle, telephoto, and macro lenses. Simply changing a lens for the same scene can dramatically alter the perspective.
Several of his bird photos are currently being used in the Kickapoo Valley Reserve’s online bird identification guide. One of his Greater Prairie Chicken photos was used as the holiday postcard reminder of the 2010 Prairie Chicken Festival. Four of his photos appear in the 2010 Wisconsin Wildlife Federation Conservation Calendar. The Florida Breast Cancer Foundation used one of his Christmas cards for their November online newsletter. In addition to his exhibit – Nature’s Kaleidoscope – at the Thrivent Gallery, he is scheduled to exhibit his photos at the Kenosha Public Museum in 2011. He also won the Wisconsin Association of Lakes photo contest and was a semi-finalist in the National Wildlife Refuge photo contest.
Brian enjoys sharing his photos with others by designing Christmas Cards, calendars, and note cards and other items. A recent hardbound coffee table book, “Lingering … Soulful Reflections” showcases his photography. Judie Dancing has written verses that were generated directly by these photos. The book is the first in a series of “Soulful Reflections.”
