Madison, Wisconsin. The Wisconsin Historical Society Press's first publication was WHS's First Annual Report and Collections in 1855. They celebrated their 150th anniversary in 2005. The mission of the WHS Press supports the WHS. By collecting, preserving and sharing Wisconsin's stories, they help people connect to the past by publishing the best in Wisconsin history and culture. Today, the WHS Press concentrates on books that appeal to a wide and varied audience: lively narratives about interesting people and events; engaging explorations of well-worn topics; stories that speak to Wisconsin's regional communities but also reach across borders to new readers.
