Bellamy's Ball is a children's picture book by Harold Thorpe. The story is about five year-old Bellamy who is excited about the upcoming Girl Scouts Ball, a father and daughter dance at the Butte des Morts Lions Club Hall. In the midst of her excitement,she is reminded that her friend Katie is in a wheelchair and can't dance. Bellamy's cousin, Aubrey, comes up with a plan to get Katie dancing. A surprise awaits them all that will make the ball extra special.

Harold Thorpe grew up in Southwest Wisconsin. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Platteville where he earned his degree in education. He went on to earn his Master's in education from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and his doctorate degree in education from Utah State University. He taught several years at both the high school and college level and upon retirement decided he wanted to learn how to write fiction. Giddyap Tin Lizzie is his first book.
