A Field Guide to Mineral Point - Book

This Field Guide to Mineral Point provides a unique look at this rural American town. Author Nancy Pfotenhauer documents the history of Mineral Point, Wisconsin, through the buildings constructed during its early development. Mineral Point started as a wild and wooly frontier town. With the discovery of lead in 1828, Mineral Point attracted people looking to get rich quick. The early settlers left a lasting imprint in the buildings they constructed, used, and left behind. The Field Guide to Mineral Point will be a great read for anyone interested in Wisconsin history.
