Seventh Generation Earth Ethics by Patty Loew is a collection of Native American biographies, one from each of the twelve Indian nations of Wisconsin. The book introduces the reader to some of the most important figures in Native sustainability along with tribal genealogists, land stewards and preservers of language and culture. These biographies highlight men and women who helped to sustain and nurture their nations in the past and present. The Seventh Generation philosophy cautions decision makers to consider how their actions will affect seven generations in the future.
