DHH designs is owned by David and Jeneice Haessig. David began his career as a woodworker in 1976, building custom furniture. From there he started creating unique sculptural and functional pieces and exhibiting his work at Fine Art and Craft Fairs around the county. David has always used the finest domestic hardwoods and some exotics. Coming up with new ideas and product line is always a challenge that David seems to excel at.
Jeneice met David in 1979 while working at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. They married in 1984. In 1989, Jeneice left the University employment and became a full-time woodworker with David. David taught Jeneice everything she knows today about the feel and working with wood. In May of 1994 they moved their studio from the Madison area to Sarona, WI.
Each piece of wood is handcrafted by just the two of them using their original designs. Each unique wooden piece is highly polished with a natural finish. Their designs are inspired by the trees that surround them and the simplicity and beauty that is so natural in the North Woods of Wisconsin. It has become their home; a place to work and a place to live.
