Shopping Tips

Finding products & Artisans

From any page, there are several ways you can shop our catalog pages. At the top of the page, underneath our logo, you can choose from Gift Occasion, Gift Recipient, Gift Specialty, or New Gifts to begin your exploration. Another way to shop is to choose the category of product of your interest from the green navigation bar. Here you can choose from: Gourmet Food, Gift Assortments, Apparel, Art, Books & Music, Home & Office, Outdoor & Garden, and Sports & Recreation.

Another easy way to shop is through using our Search Tool found in the upper right hand corner of the page. Simply enter either a product keyword (like “swiss cheese”) or an artisan name (like “zimmerman cheese”) and you’ll be taken to a page of search results.

Once you begin shopping, you’ll notice the left hand navigation column gives you additional choices to narrow your search more specifically or to shop by a particular artisan or group of artisans. In the “Shop By Artisan” category you will see a profile of the artisan and a list of all the artisan’s products carried on Wisconsinmade.com

Adding products to My Shopping Basket

When you are viewing the product page, select your quantity & any available product options (size, color, etc.) and “Ship To” option. Then click "Add to basket." A small window will drop down confirming your selection. You may continue shopping by selecting another product category or using the search tool.

Any time you want to check the contents of your “Shopping Basket” click on the button entitled “VIEW BASKET ITEMS” at the top of the page underneath the “My Account” button. You can also elect to “Proceed to Checkout” from “VIEW BASKET ITEMS.”

In the “Proceed to Checkout” screen you can also modify the contents of your shopping basket. For example you can change the quantity or edit to whom the product will be shipped. You can also remove a product from your basket. After making any changes in your shopping basket, click “Update Shopping Cart” to effect the changes. You may then “Proceed to Secure Checkout” or elect to continue shopping by choosing another product category or using the search tool.

Checking Out & processing your Order

When you are ready to check out, click on "View basket" at the top of the page and select the “Checkout” button. You’ll be shown a full view of your Shopping Cart where you can verify and edit the contents of your cart. After any editing & updating of your shopping cart, you complete your purchase by pressing the button labeled “PROCEED TO SECURE CHECKOUT.”

You'll then be shown an Account Screen that allows you to enter your username and password to speed up the checkout process and avail you to the other advantages of being a registered user of Wisconsinmade.com* should you not have an existing account you proceed by selecting Guest Checkout. You'll then be presented a screen to enter your billing information. Here you may also elect to create an account to save your order information for your future use. If you say yes, you will be asked to create a username and password.

After pressing the “Continue” button you are presented a screen for shipping information. After entering shipping information or selecting “same as billing,” select a shipping method (Standard, Expedited, or Overnight) for each shipping recipient. You may also designate delayed shipping by clicking on “Scheduling a Delivery Date.”

Also on the Shipping Information page this are two other special areas you may choose to use:

  • Special Shipping Instructions
  • Gift Message

After pressing the “Continue” button you’ll be presented a screen showing your complete purchase cost, including shipping. If you prefer, you may edit shipping to recalculate the shipping method and cost. Enter your credit card information to complete your purchase. Note below your credit card information is space to enter any special instructions you’d like to pass along to us. Then select “Place Order.”

The final screen is a print friendly page to record your order and order # for your future reference. A similar record of your purchase will also be e-mailed to your e-mail box. Your credit card is charged within 24 - 48 hours after your order is placed.

*Advantages of becoming a registered Wisconsinmade.com user include faster checkout; address book; order tracking; product news, discounts and exclusive offers.

Shipping to Multiple Addresses

You may elect to ship to different individuals in the “Ship To” section when you select “Add to Basket” on the individual product page. Simply provide a name for that person and later in the checkout process you will be asked for a shipping address. If that person’s name is already in your account records, it will appear among the selections in the drop down menu.

Alternately you may elect to ship different line items in your shopping cart to different people during by viewing the Shopping Cart. Here you may edit your Ship To selections to correct or change your earlier designation.

During the checkout process you will be asked for shipping information on each of your other Ship To addresses. You’ll also be asked to select a “shipping method” for each address. Note the checkbox that allows you to “save” this shipping address for future use.

As you continue with the checkout process, your order total will be displayed, including the shipping to each of the addresses you have provided. You can edit shipping info if desired. If everything is in order proceed with checkout as described in the previous section.

Signing into My Account

After you registered and created an account with Wisconsinmade.com, click on “My Account” to access your membership features to enhance your shopping experience. Alternately you may elect to log-in later on. Checking Your Order Status

Even if you have not created a Wisconsinmade.com account, you may access information about your present order by selecting the button named “Order Status” at the top the page and entering the requested information.

Shipping Information
What are my Shipping Options and Delivery Schedules?

Wisconsinmade.com orders are processed promptly and are shipped directly to you from our suppliers. We monitor all orders to ensure that they are shipped in a timely manner. Shipping and delivery time does not include Holidays, weekends or the day you place the order. Allow 2-3 days to process orders.

Wisconsinmade.com offers the following shipping options and delivery estimates for your order:

  • STANDARD - Delivery estimate is 5 to 10 business days.
     
     
  • EXPEDITED - Delivery estimate is 3 to 4 business days.

     
  • STANDARD ONLY - Alaska and AHawaii - No expedited orders

     
  • OVERNIGHT SHIPPING (1 day in transit) is available only for a very limited range of products. You must call to request overnight shipping and authorize our office to charge your credit card overnight shipping  charges. If you have questions call, toll free at 877-947-6233 (between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm Central time) for a customer service representative to help you.
     

Depending on the artisan and the shipping option requested, your order will be shipped by UPS, DHL, Federal Express, or United States Postal Service. Some artisans have restrictions on the days they ship or the lead time they need--these restrictions are posted on the product pages.

Delayed Delivery - Request a Date of Delivery

For each party receiving an order, you may specify a requested Week of Delivery Date. You do this during the checkout process when you are presented the Ship To Name and Address screen for yourself or another person. Look for and "click on" the link "Schedule a Delivery Date" in the far right hand side of the Ship To box. A dialog box will pop-up showing you a calendar where you can enter in your requested week of delivery. We will do our best to accommodate your request. Unless a delayed shipment is requested, your order will be processed and shipped in our normal time frame. If you have questions about your deadline date, please call us toll free at: 877-947-6233

Valid Ship To Addresses.

We do not ship to Post Office boxes. Please make sure the ship to address is correct and complete.  It is best to review carefully the ship to address. Make sure the street number is correct and the zip code. If the gift is going to a business include the business name and the person it is going to. Also, make sure you include the apartment number, room number or suite number. If the address is incorrect, incomplete, or delivered to a different address (neighbor, front office, etc.) a fee of $5.00 - $10.00 may be assessed.

Please note some artisans have restrictions on the days they ship or the lead time they need--these restrictions are posted on the product pages.  We strongly suggest shipping your holiday gifts no later than the week of December 7.  Due to the increase of volume, shipping carriers will not guarantee delivery by Christmas if you request delivery the week of December 14.
What are the Shipping Rates?

Shipping & handling charges are calculated based upon the weight of your product and the distance from the artisan to the destination. Occasionally a larger size or special handling may affect the shipping charge. Depending upon the circumstances we will ship packages via either FedEx, UPS, DHL or the U.S. Postal Service.We have set our rates to approximate the rates charged to us by our delivery service providers.

Can I ship everywhere in the United States? Overseas?
  • Wisconsinmade.com currently does not ship products outside the United States.
     
  • Shipments to Alaska and Hawaii, add an additional 3 days for delivery. Not all products are available for shipping to Alaska and Hawaii and expedited shipping is not available. Many items, especially perishable products, may require additional shipping charges. Customer will be notified after order is placed if there is an additional ship cost.
     
  • Shipping to Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and Canada may be available for selected itmes at an addtional cost. Please contact Customer Service for assistance.
     
  • Orders to PO boxes are not accepted.
     
  • Orders shipped to APO/FPO addresses are shipped via standard shipping only.  Allow up to 6 weeks for delivery.  If you wish to send a perishable product, please read the description to see if it is approved to be shipped to an APO address.  If you select a non-APO approved product and have it shipped to a 3rd party expediter,  our product guarantee is null and void.  Wisconsinmade.com does not guarantee products that are shipped to other countries via a 3rd party expediter.
How are perishable items shipped?

(Chocolates, Cheeses, and Meats in Hot Weather) Wisconsinmade.com will not ship selected perishable items in hot summer months. See individual product descriptions for specific information. Other perishable products may require expedited shipping.

All perishable items are carefully packaged for safe delivery, and refrigerate the perishable food products as soon as they are received. Please be sure that someone will be at the address to receive the delivery on the expected day. Shipments do not require a signature for delivery and will be left at recipient's address.

Our satisfaction guarantee is simple. If you are not 100% satisfied with the product or service you receive from us, we will replace the product or refund the amount of your purchase, whichever you request. Product Satisfaction & Return policy  

Wisconsinmade.com features the finest foods, gifts and apparel produced by some of Wisconsin's most skilled Artisans. We reserve the right to substitute products of equal or greater value if we run out of products--especially during the holiday season. Customer satisfaction is guaranteed. Returns must be received within 30 days from the date of purchase.  (Holiday exceptions are available).There is a processing fee of $2.00 for each item returned.

  • Should a perishable item not meet the customer's satisfaction we can replace it with a like item, offer a credit towards future purchases, or refund the item purchase price, excluding delivery charges.

     
  • Should a nonperishable item not meet the customer's satisfaction we can accept returns for exchange, credit towards another purchase or refund via original method of payment, excluding delivery charges.
