PROPER STORAGE: Landjager should not be stored in a plastic bag. They can be hung on a hanger to age, let lay loose on the counter or in the fridge, or they can be frozen. Landjager ages slower in the refrigerator.

Not quite as expected.... but good in a different way
This isn't really landjager. It is too soft/ mushy- more like standard sausages., and fat contents are a bit too much. Jaegers would have to be dryer, firmer, meatier, smokier. Yet we discovered that roasting them in our back yard fire pit makes quite tasty- firmer, crispier, and most of fat drains out. My husband has been roasting them since we got weather cool enough to sit outside by the fire, asked for more.
