Heritage Pancake Mix – Regionally Grown Grains
We’re proud to carry on the legacy of Lonesome Stone Milling with this thoughtfully crafted heritage pancake mix. Originally developed to showcase regionally grown and stone-milled grains, this mix features a blend of soft winter wheat and rye—staples of Wisconsin’s local grain economy.
Lonesome Stone Milling was instrumental in rebuilding our regional grain infrastructure, and this mix honors their early efforts to bring local, organic ingredients to everyday cooking.
Ingredients:
Organic White Whole Wheat Pastry Flour, Organic Rye Flour, baking powder (non-GMO corn starch, sodium bicarbonate, monocalcium phosphate), baking soda, salt.
Directions:
To make 6–8 pancakes, preheat a lightly oiled griddle. Combine 1 cup of mix with 1 to 1½ cups of milk and 1 egg. Pour batter, cook until bubbles no longer burst. Flip and cook until golden brown.
