The smorrebrod begins with a thin slice of a dense dark rye bread, which is then buttered. Next is the beginning of the artistry of smorrebrod. Everything on top must hang over the sides so that no bread shows. The ingredients can be decoratively and artfully arranged on the bread because they are meant to be eaten with a fork and knife. Enjoy two loaves of bread, one Pumpernickel Rye (1 loaf is 30 servings) and one Rugbrod (1 loaf is 24 servings), a moist grain bread. Keep breads in the refrigerator or can be frozen. Other foods, decorations and accessories not included.

SO Delicious! The Pumpernickel is good, but the Rugbrod was my favorite.
We just made our first trip to Sweden and fell in love with smorrebrod. Your seeded Rugbrod is authentically delicious-but we wish the slices were just a wee bit thicker. And we wish we could order it without the pumpernickel because it's all about those seeds!
