Proper seasoning: Use mineral oil and hand washing for years of use
Complete sizing is as follows: For the 16-inch peel --> paddle is 16 inches wide, 18 inches long, and 26 inches overall with an 8-inch handle (included in measurement).
For the 14-inch peel --> paddle is 14 inches wide, 16 inches long, and 24 inches overall with an 8-inch handle (included in measurement).
Both peels are 3/4 inches thick and tapers down to 1/4 inch at one edge.

Its a beautiful piece. Looks really well made. Only complaint is it took a really long time to get it, the birthday it was purchased for was well past and I got no communications about it being so late . I got an answer back a couple days after o called, but some communication up front would have been awesome.

better than I expected
I've searched the web for a great pizza peel for a while, and selected this one on a hunch. I have no regrets. This piece of art is crafted very skillfully and is as functional as it is beautiful. The front edge of the peel is perfectly shaped to do its job in and out of the oven and to the table, and the handle is just the right length and width to work in a small kitchen like mine. I am completely in love with it. I've been maintaining it with mineral oil to preserve its beauty, and look forward to using it for years to come!
