The Kringle pastry, made by O and H Danish Bakery, requires a minimum of three days preparation. Layer upon layer of golden Wisconsin creamery butter is folded and rolled into the pastry dough. The result is a deliciously rich, yet feather-light and flaky pastry. The red colored stalks of tart rhubarb are cooked and sweetened before baking inside the kringle pastry. Kringles are oval and measure approximately 10.5 x 13 in., weighing 1 lb. 8 oz. Each Kringle serves 8-12 people. Kringles can be frozen for 5-6 months. Kosher Certified. Warming instructions included with Kringle: let stand overnight or remove from packaging and place on cookie sheet in a 350 degrees oven for 3-1/2 minutes or until desired temperature.

This lasted less then 40 minutes in our house of 3! It is too bad you can only get it one month out of the year! Not ever having a Kringle I didn't know what to expect....it was really sweet, moist, and seemed fresh. It arrived in good condition. It didn't seem to have a lot of the Rhubarb flavor to it or maybe the sweet just overpowered it. It was smaller then I had hoped for the price. Will order again for special occasions.
