Smoked Turkey with Fusilla Pasta

Nueske Applewood Smoked Turkey and corkscrew pasta combine for this delicious entree with an Italian flair.

  • 1 cup Nueske smoked turkey breast, skinned and diced into 1/2 inch cubes
  • 8 oz Fusilla (corkscrew) pasta
  • 1 cup baby spinach leaves, stems trimmed
  • 2/3 cup tomato, seeded, cut into 1/2 inch dice
  • 1/2 - 1 1/2 cloves fresh minced garlic (to taste)
  • 2 tsp Balsamic vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp fresh basil leaves, coarsely chopped
  • 1/8 tsp red pepper flakes
  • salt to taste
  • Parmesan cheese, grated


  1. Bring large pot of salted water to boil
  2. Add pasta and cook according to package directions
  3. Put olive oil, basil, garlic and spinach leaves (torn in half, if large) in large, shallow pasta dish; toss until mixed
  4. Drain cooked pasta, retaining ½ cup pasta cooking liquid
  5. Immediately add pasta to olive oil mixture; toss well
  6. Add reserved pasta cooking liquid toss well again
  7. Add smoked turkey, tomato, vinegar and red pepper flakes; toss until well mixed
  8. Add salt to taste
  9. Serve hot, passing grated Parmesan cheese separately
