This handmade, personalized crock by Rowe Pottery is a unique piece that will be appreciated for years to come. Personalize the traditional heart pattern with a name and date which the decorators will hand paint in traditional 19th century character. Popular in the 19th century, crocks were used for storing and preparing food. This crock is available in the 1 or 2 gallon size. The 1-gallon crock is about 7.5 inches tall and 7.5 inches across - it allows one line of personalization above and one line below the heart. The 2-gallon crock is 10.5 inches tall and 9 inches across - it allows one line of personalization above and one or two lines below the heart. The maximum number of characters and spaces above the heart is 18, while below the heart is 14 per line. Rowe Pottery crocks are designed in the traditional manner, but have all the features of safety, durability, and versatility characteristic of today's stoneware; they have lead-free glazes and are oven, microwave and dishwasher safe.

Because all salt glazed pottery is handmade and hand painted, you will find originality and uniqueness in each piece. The size, shape, and pattern of each piece will vary. Also, color variations, which occur during the firing process, create the high and low color tones that give your piece its unique character. Natural color tones of the pottery pieces vary from different shades of gray with cobalt blue accents.
