Apostle Islands, Wisconsin. John C. Frank is a Wisconsin author whose interest and love of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore led him to write a guidebook for kayaking and camping. John and his wife spent twenty years visiting all the islands in the Apostle Islands archipelago, where they enjoy the natural beauty and solitude. After retiring from his law practice in 2012, John wrote Apostle Islands Water Trips so others could appreciate and explore this scenic National Lakeshore.
