In Scandinavia, Kransekager, made from almond paste, sugar and a few other ingredients, is a cake baked and enjoyed at weddings and celebrations. The rings, S figures, and bars are baked, then stacked and decorated with fondant icing. Traditionally the Krandsekager, hides a bottle of fine Cherry Kirsch or wine to be served to guests. The guests also enjoy a piece of Kransekager.
