The Kid Who Climbed the Tarzan Tree is a book by D. W. Rozelle recalling his years living in a children's home. The author's mother brings him and his sister to a children's home in 1944 and tells them it will be a short stay. Nearly six years later their stay ends with placement in a foster home. Rozelle remembers his years at the home as the best years of his tumultuous boyhood. Drawings by artist C. A. Grooms give a startling visual impact to the author's flashbacks.
